Couleur Café Festival - SONA JOBARTEH 15 تشرين الثاني 2018
Sona Jobarteh is the first African woman kora virtuoso griot, and also a fine singer and songwriter, mixing traditional music, blues and Afropop with an impressive effect. She has modernized the presentation of Kora's music by adding a rhythmic touch to her highly contemporary compositions adapted to her remarkable singing. In a break with tradition, she is a modern pioneer in an ancient hereditary tradition, dominated by men, which has been passed on exclusively from father to son over the last seven centuries.
