Women have played an essential role in the functioning of society and the development of Geneva. Alongside personalities who have worked in the arts and culture, industry and commerce, ideas and science, there are thousands of anonymous and little-known women who have also nourished and enriched the city and its history. We are going to bring to life a small selection of them, in their environment and their time, from the 15th century to the present day, and highlight the extraordinary diversity of the fruits of their work, talent and commitment.
