Description

After an urban promenade under sycamore trees, the cycle tour leads through parkland and a wooded landscape without it being obvious that this is the canton's most industrialized district. The route continues to Geneva’s wine-growing regions at the foot of the French Jura.
From Geneva railway station, the route crosses urban landscapes with various city parks. The Parc des Délices, with the Maison de Voltaire and a covered market offering numerous bio- products, and the Bois-des-Frères, a veritable urban forest and a paradise for walkers and sports enthusiasts. The route then reaches Moulin-des-Frères, a peaceful gem on the banks of the Rhone, followed by beautiful views of the large Rhone elbow and the basin of Lac Léman.

In Vernier, a pause on the terrace of the old village makes a welcome break. The tastefully renovated heart of the village is still a lively place. After the streets of Peney, the surroundings become ever more rural. The route leads between fields, forests and streams to Satigny, one of Switzerland’s largest wine-growing districts. The departure point of Geneva is quickly and easily reached by regional railway.
