Simon-Durand Square

This small green space, hidden between the buildings on Simon-Durand Street, des Allobroges Street, Caroline Street and des Mouettes Street, is nicknamed the "Tortoise Park" in tribute to the giant wooden tortoise that stands at the main entrance.

Nestled in the heart of a densely urban neighborhood, this small verdant oasis offers a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Accessible through two discreet entrances – a passage under a building on rue Caroline or the main entrance on rue Simon-Durand – this haven of peace spans approximately 5,400 m². A vast central lawn invites relaxation, bordered by majestic maple trees that illuminate the space with golden hues in autumn. The low-rise architecture of the surrounding buildings allows the sun to generously flood the space, while the sky offers soothing perspectives. For families, it is a true paradise: several play areas suited to different ages allow children to flourish in complete safety.
