Authentic Belgian Fries
Welcome to our Geneva restaurant, open 7 days a week. This is the original Belga, where it all began, and the first chip shop/bar in Switzerland! Here, it's a bit like home; you come, you stop by, you come back, sometimes to take away, mostly to eat in, or both. How about a beer while you wait, before bringing fries back to family or friends? We come because we love to eat and have a drink, but also because we love to get together, quite simply. Open every day of the week, whether it's for lunch between classes at the university (Uni-Mail is 200m away), a Wednesday afternoon after school, or on a GSHC/Servette FC match night!
The Belga story begins on New Year's Eve 2016, when two friends, recently arrived in Switzerland and a little tipsy from the evening, suddenly had a craving for fries. Longing for typical Belgian chip shops, they decided to open one to fill the gap in the local scene. The next day, they realized it wasn't such a bad idea after all...
Three years later, Belga opened its doors in the Plainpalais district. This chip shop-bar concept offers homemade fries made with Swiss potatoes and cooked according to traditional Belgian methods, accompanied by a variety of sauces, meats, and other Belgian specialties. The bar area boasts around twenty Belgian beers, frequently updated to satisfy even the most discerning palates.
With an industrial style inspired by Belgian breweries, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.
