Concert-presentation by Sergio Valdeos (guitar) and Fulvia Torricelli (violin) at the Bibliothèque de la Cité

Brazil has a very rich cultural diversity. Its history is reflected in the evolution of its popular music, marked by the legacy of slavery and the cultural mix resulting from colonisation.
This concert-presentation will trace the country's history through its rhythms and styles: from lundu and batuque to the early forms of samba and choro, to the rise of national radio and the samba-exaltação of the 1930s and 1940s.
