The "Anti-Nymphs" program explores feminist rereadings of Greco-Roman myths in contemporary art, proposing multiple forms of actualization of the ancient figure of the nymph.

This screening of the “Anti-Nymphs” program features five short films, followed by a conversation.
The videos presented in this session feature minor mythological figures, some of which are entirely invented or only hinted at. Body metamorphosis is at the heart of these works, which focus on non-conforming female bodies that challenge dominant imaginaries of femininity. By proposing a representation outside the frame, in which metamorphosis involves the dimensions of gender, age, and the vegetal, these works offer a subversive and potentially emancipatory mythography.
