Melissa goes to Micop, the large supermarket that occupies the lower floors of her building. Everything tips over when she discovers, for sale in the meat section, butcher's cuts that look exactly like a dismembered human body. Between documentary and caricature, the piece depicts the workings of a machine that degenerates. A heroine of modern times, Melissa travels through the aisles of Micop, a monstrous and manipulative labyrinth that force-feeds customers and employees to better devour them. Marie van Berchem and Vanessa Ferreira Vicente choose fiction to denounce the phenomenon of overproduction, the absurdity of the capitalist system, and deconstruct sales strategies.
