Using old paper, come and create your own herbarium "à la Rousseau" at our Outreach Centre and share it with your loved ones – just as Jean-Jacques Rousseau did with his herbaria.

Our facilitators will explain the scientific and technical details of this delicate process, and you can choose which dried plants and flowers you would like to include on your sheet from a variety of options.

This activity, inspired by our exhibition "Nature never deceives us": Jean-Jacques Rousseau's herbarium from the Geneva Botanic Garden, will allow you to familiarise yourself with the process of assembling a herbarium specimen and the scientific naming of a plant, and to leave with a beautiful object.
