Photography exhibition: ‘Photographing tomorrow's world’

Reporters Without Borders Switzerland presents the photographic exhibition ‘Photographing Tomorrow's World’ from 4 to 21 November 2025 in the Uni Dufour hall at the University of Geneva.

Photographie du photographe Emile Ducke.

To mark its 35th anniversary, RSF Switzerland is presenting ‘Photographing Tomorrow's World’ at the University of Geneva as part of Human Rights Week. Following its global premiere at the True Story Festival in Bern in June 2025, this exhibition pays tribute to the essential work of photojournalists around the world.
The photographic exhibition presents the perspectives of 40 photojournalists from around the world to highlight the global challenges of our time and the obstacles that will continue to accompany us in the years to come.
The selected photos illustrate a changing world centred on three major themes: the environment, exile and crises. Photojournalists accompany people close to their reality, providing essential testimony and alerting us to dangerous trends. Please find the digital booklet for the exhibition here.
Whether in the Amazon region, Ukraine, the Palestinian territories or the streets of Afghanistan, Mexico or Russia, these photojournalists are on the front line. They document not only the suffering of populations, but also their resilience and hopes.
"We are delighted to see the exhibition return to Switzerland. We have fond memories of its visit to Bern during the True Story Festival and are confident that it will win over the Geneva public. Through it, we wish to highlight the work that RSF does on a daily basis to raise awareness of the importance of journalism in a democratic society, particularly in a country like Switzerland. We must protect journalists, who are exposed to and witness multiple crises and are themselves increasingly victims of abuse."
Denis Masmejan
Secretary General of RSF Switzerland
The exhibition ‘Photographing Tomorrow's World’ reminds us of the importance of independent journalism. While many of the issues illustrated through her photos take place outside Switzerland, our country is not spared. Without the courageous and sometimes risky work of these professionals, access to free information about the world of today and tomorrow would no longer be guaranteed.
