HONOURING LIFE

Meeting with Edmond Dounias, ethnobiologist, and Claude Barras, film director

This evening invites you to discover and celebrate the incredible complexity of the bonds forged between humans and nature, and the lifestyles that result from them. The focus will be on the preservation of the rainforest and the indigenous peoples of Borneo, who have developed a special relationship with this endangered ecosystem.
Edmond Dounias is an ethnobiologist at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (https://www.ird.fr), co-founder of the research and advocacy group on education among hunter-gatherer peoples (https://www.hg-edu.org), and a member of the global platform on indigenous peoples' food systems (https://www.fao.org/indigenous-peoples/secretariats/global-hub/fr).
Moderator: Laurence Difélix, journalist (RTS)
