She deliberately foregoes the harmonic instrument, giving free rein to her phrasing and that of trombonist Maurus Twerenbold, exchanging melodic ideas with relaxed intensity and intertwining their lines with skill and elegance. Jérémie Krüttli on double bass and drummer Josua Beureux provide a solid and sensitive foundation. This subtle blend of African-American jazz tradition and classical lyricism is a pure delight!
