Loriot, which is also the name of a small yellow and black bird, symbolizes joy and freedom. The musical color of the Loriot quintet is mixed, blending influences from Cameroonian religious songs, Baka polyphonic songs, and jazz inspiration. The compositions oscillate between harmonic experimentation, the search for groove, and the quest for collective improvisation.
