A graduate of HEAD–Genève, Niels Hung explores his multicultural identity through painting influenced by American and Asian cultures.

Niels Hung, a painter and graduate of HEAD–Genève, explores his multicultural identity through a pictorial practice influenced by American and Asian cultures. His paintings, often based on reappropriations of images found online or in the street, question the production of contemporary images and their tendency to slip away from us. His work becomes a critical commentary on contemporary society, oscillating between fascination and reaction. Alongside his personal practice, he joined the teaching team of the Work.Master at HEAD in 2024, where he is also engaged in reflecting on artistic production and the condition of the artist in today’s art world.
