FILMAR Festival presents two screenings of Morichales by Chris Gude at Cinémas du Grütli, in collaboration with Agenda 21 – Climate Week.

Synopsis:
In the Venezuelan Guiana, gold draws crowds of miners beneath the “Moriche” palm trees. A narrator guides us along their journey, from the remote jungle mines to the banks of the Orinoco River.
Through a blend of illustrations and photochemical paintings, his reflections reveal the complexity of gold mining while questioning humanity’s relationship with nature. A mesmerizing journey.
