To answer a child's question, "But what is a metaphor?", the Singe Diesel company tackles our frenetic lifestyle and encourages us to take our time. Time to live, time to dream, time to get lost, to marvel. In a funfair setting where everything seems to have stopped, the visual universe takes on its full force.
The spectator is fascinated by a surprising story, captivated by the expressiveness and life emanating from the sublime puppets. Lulled by a soundscape that leaves plenty of room for the imagination, the audience embarks on a marvelous journey. Longer, more challenging, but more beautiful, like a metaphor. The Singe Diesel company reminds us that by slowing down a little, poems and stories come to life, as if by magic!
Singe Diesel, founded in 2011 by Juan Perez Escala in Brest, is a puppet theater company. Immersed in theater since childhood and enriched by his experiences in the visual arts, Juan creates shows inspired by South American magical realism and popular culture.
