Rabasta is a faux instrumental hip hop quartet that plays a repertoire of fragmentary compositions and offers a collectively developed interpretation.
While the musical aesthetic derived from hip hop culture is a starting point and a present influence, the absence of vocals and the search for an unstable but catchy rhythm deliberately places Rabasta's music at a certain distance from rap.
In addition, the instrumental practice of the four musicians, largely imbued with improvisation and experimentation of all kinds, also engages in sound development in less defined territories.
