The concert closes with Tchaikovsky's Second Symphony, which evokes his beloved Ukraine.

A masterpiece of efficiency and unrivalled charm, Luciano Berio's Folk Songs offers a free and almost random (melodies picked up in Azerbaijan, Armenia, the USA, Italy and France) yet sublime glimpse into the riches of traditional music, passed down orally for centuries. We imagine ourselves at the foot of the tree that saw our great-grandparents grow up, heard their lullabies and accompanied generations.
With The Earth Cried Out to the Sky, Charlotte Bray offers the Geneva audience a diptych of melodies specially orchestrated for the OCG: alongside Latifa, the Old Mulberry Tree near Mariupol evokes a fragile and grief-stricken Eastern Europe.
The concert closes with Tchaikovsky's Second Symphony, which evokes his beloved Ukraine.
