With SÊMA, Vaud-based Cie Linga revisits the tradition of the whirling dervishes in a hypnotic and resolutely contemporary creation. Eight dancers launch into an intense collective gyration, guided by the live music of Mathias Delplanque and Philippe Foch, an electro-acoustic duo at the frontiers of the sacred and the experimental.

Between raw energy and poetic precision, choreographers Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo explore the link between body, sound and spirituality. In this choreographic spiral, the individual dissolves into the collective, and the spectator, fascinated, touches a form of grace with his or her eyes.
