Side Quest for the Real

The Art, Game & Society Biennale returns to Le Commun from Dec 2–21, 2025. Exhibitions, playable workshops, and more explore social life through LARP. Come discover, reflect, and play.

Un château, un labyrinthe, des escaliers, un renard et des personnages se réunissent sur l’image tel un talisman.

The Art, Game & Society Biennale, curated by Christian Bili and Samuel Wagen-Magnon, returns for its second edition at Le Commun (Geneva) from December 2 to 21, 2025, with Side Quest for the Real. The exhibition opening will take place on December 2 at 6 PM.

This new edition examines social life through the lens of LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) via an exhibition of original works produced specifically for the occasion. It is accompanied by a program of screenings, workshops, lectures, and discussions bringing together artists, researchers, and theorists around games as a tool to critically engage with reality. Two guided tours will also offer deeper insight into the works and themes of the exhibition. In parallel, playable workshops give the public the opportunity to immerse themselves in LARP practices, creative play, and share a moment of gameplay with the artists.

Art, Game & Society is an art initiative exploring game-related practices to sensitize audiences to contemporary issues. In this sense, it invites you to discover, reflect, and play.
