Yvette Théraulaz and Lee Maddeford return after Barbara & Brel with a musical production born of a collaboration spanning more than twenty years. With Le Chemin, Yvette Théraulaz retraces the path of a life made of doubts, poetry, and tenderness. Composed of memories, texts, and songs, it tells the story of an artist who tirelessly seeks the way of the heart.
From her modest childhood in Fribourg, the singer and actress retains a certain pride—and a rebellious spirit. Throughout her career, Yvette Théraulaz has stood by her convictions. Whether on stage or through her songs, she continues to share her values with the public, notably her anger toward injustice. In 2013, she was awarded the Hans Reinhart Ring, which honors significant figures in Swiss theatre.
As for pianist Lee Maddeford, born in Alaska but living on Swiss soil for forty years, the body of his work is impressive, with one constant: a passion for the voice. He is at times accompanist, arranger, or composer… and sometimes a singer as well!
