Outdoor sculptures

The Sculpture Garden Biennial, which runs throughout the summer until 30 September, features numerous artistic projects along a path running from Parc des Eaux-Vives to Parc La Grange, all the way to the new Eaux-Vives beach. The exhibition has been designed by Devrim Bayar, curator of the WIELS contemporary art centre in Brussels, who has brought together 26 works by contemporary artists who question our relationships with others and with ourselves in an increasingly unstable environment in which technologies shape our subjectivities.

Featuring live performances, dance works, concerts, and DJs, the festival showcases the most exciting contemporary trends with up-and-coming and established acts in 20 venues in Geneva over 18 days every year in September, confronting the audience’s personal vision of the world with those offered by the invited artists. For the past 46 years, the festival has used different venues in the city, including theatres, concert halls, as well as more unusual places like museums, university auditoriums, and public spaces.

Théâtre de Carouge, the new showcase for art

Théâtre de Carouge is a historical venue that has put Carouge on the national as well as international map. After three years of work, the theatre now welcomes audiences in a brand-new building, thought out in detail for a unique artistic experience, which might be compared to “the soul of a violin, the final piece of wood that the craftsperson places at the heart of the instrument and which will determine its sound and vibration.”
