What’s up in Geneva this month

Summer is all around!

Under the bright sun, we enjoy the outdoors! Geneva unveils magnificent works of art in the heart of the parks during the Sculpture Garden and Open House Biennial, while a lot of music concerts set the tempo all around the city. For foodies, discover our tasty suggestion of the month.

L’Agape, venue of the month

Since 2019, L’Agape has been catering to Geneva’s foodies in the Acacias district. With its local and seasonal cuisine, the establishment gives pride of place to the iconic bistro, with old wood panelling, period tiles and gourmet cuisine that is brilliantly executed by chef Clément Thellier. The small yet creative menu, which varies according to the seasons, will bring happiness to demanding food enthusiasts as well as those who love comforting recipes.

The menu features revamped traditional recipes rethought with an exotic and elegant touch, all combined in increasingly colourful and tasty dishes. Confit egg and mushroom bake; tartine du potager; confit shoulder of lamb and creamy polenta or brioche perdue and fennel jam are the current major specialities. The plus? The establishment has a small terrace for sunny days!

Sculpture Garden

Initiated by artgenève and organised with the MAMCO and the City of Geneva, the 3rd Edition of the Sculpture Garden Biennale will take place from Jun. 10 to Sep. 30, gathering 26 artistic projects.

The Biennale, which runs throughout the summer and until September 30, forms a path punctuated by numerous artistic projects from the Parc des Eaux-Vives to the Parc La Grange, and the Eaux-Vives beach. The 2022 exhibition is curated by Devrim Bayar, curator at WIELS contemporary art center in Brussels, who has gathered 26 works, more than half of which are produced for this exhibition. For its third edition, the Geneva Biennale Sculpture Garden focuses on contemporary artists who question our relationships to others and to ourselves in an increasingly unstable environment in which technologies shape our subjectivities.
