Geneva’s vineyard

Wine is an important industry on the shores of Lake Geneva and, with the picturesque mountains as a backdrop, the wineries are well worth discovering, not to mention their wines. Swiss wines are light and easy to drink. There are many opportunities to discover and enjoy local wines, whether at festivals, open cellar weekends, tastings and guided tours of vineyards on electric bikes, for example, or simply by taking a stroll through the beautiful vineyards.

The gastronomic restaurants

Geneva’s countryside offers Michelin-starred restaurants that will delight gourmets. The famous Geneva chef Philippe Chevrier welcomes you to the Domaine de Châteauvieux, located in a magnificent building in the heart of the region’s vineyards, to enjoy exquisite French cuisine, while Serge Labrosse, one of the great names in Geneva’s gastronomy, welcome you to La Chaumière in Troinex with his delicious creations.

The Tourism Pavilion and its local products

The teams of the Tourism Pavilion, located all summer long in the Jardin Anglais, will have the pleasure of advising you on the best places to visit in Geneva and helping you discover local products, such as honey from Presinge, lentils from the Ferme Courtois in Versoix, or the famous Cardons de Gallay in Cartigny. Dive into the heart of Geneva’s terroir by paying them a visit. They will also give you the best itineraries to discover Geneva’s lush countryside and help you to book your City Pass, your Choco Pass or any of excursion or guided visit you may like.

The Swiss Village

Located in the centre of the city, by the lake in the Jardin Anglais, the Swiss Village is the centre of summer in Geneva with its Ferris wheel and its various food outlets offering homegrown produce, as well as 100% Swiss alpine meat. We strongly recommend the churros with Toblerone coulis. A great way to enjoy Switzerland!
