Geneva’s chocolate has pride of place in the history of Swiss chocolate.

You’ll have the opportunity to visit Favarger, a family chocolaterie whose history dates back to 1826 when one of the very first chocolate manufacturers started using hydraulic power to process the cocoa beans. Chocolate makers such as Zeller, Stettler & Castricher, La Bonbonnière, Canonica, Du Rhône and Sweetzerland which have all been perpetuating tradition and know-how for decades, often have a great family story in Geneva.

What is the Choco Pass?

The Choco Pass is a wonderful way to explore the city while discovering the unique expertise of local chocolate makers.

Your Choco Pass is valid for 24 hours and is activated as soon as you enter the first chocolate shop. It entitles you to a tasting plate at the chocolatier’s of your choice in this list. The plate will be different depending on the chocolate manufacturer you visit. For example, you’ll taste the famous pavé genevois at Stettler while Sweetzerland will offer delicious truffles. The Choco Pass is also available for children with a plate adapted to their age and a special little surprise. A great way for foodies and families to spend some quality time together!
