Bois de la Bâtie (Bâtie Woods)

Since its creation in 1874, the wood and its oak trees have been a favourite spot for nature lovers. The park and its various sports and leisure amenities is very close to the Jonction district, where the rivers Rhône and Arve unite. The playground is the largest of all such installations in the city. The Bois de la Bâtie runs an animal park. In this role it contributes to the conservation of endangered species.
