Geneva Transport Card for guests

Free public transport with the Geneva Transport Card!

Anyone staying in approved accommodation in Geneva is entitled to a free transport card. 

When you stay in Geneva, you will receive a free digital version of the “Geneva Transport Card.” This card enables you to use public transport free of charge in Geneva for the duration of your stay.

The card is personal and non-transferable and grants you free access to Geneva’s public transport network UNIRESO: buses (TPG), trains (CFF), and boats (Mouettes genevoises). It is unlimited for the entire duration of your stay.

Three days prior to your arrival, you will receive a link by email enabling you to get your Geneva Transport Card on your smartphone. You will then be able to use it to reach your accommodation from the airport. 

How do I get my Geneva Transport Card?

Contact the accommodation where you will be staying, which must be registered with Geneva Tourism & Congress. If it isn’t, please ask the host to contact us directly. Three days before arrival, you will receive an e-mail from the accommodation with an online form to fill in to receive your Geneva Transport Card. Don’t forget to check your spam if you haven’t received the form.

When will I get my Geneva Transport Card?

Immediately after filling in the online form but not earlier than 3 days before the arrival date.

What information does the accommodation need to send me the card?

Surname / first name / language / email / dates of stay / number of people and age of children.

If there are several people, how do we register each participant?

When there is more than one person per reservation, the person who has made the reservation receives his/her card by e-mail with a link to register the other people occupying the room. 

For groups there is an online form as well.
