CGN (Compagnie générale de navigation sur le lac Léman) has been an emblematic figure on the Lake Geneva landscape since it was founded in 1873. With its 17 boats, it is the largest cruise company in French-speaking Switzerland and the second largest in France. In terms of mobility, it is a major player in the Lake Geneva region, thanks in particular to its many links with neighbouring France. Its Belle Epoque fleet of 8 paddle steamers, unique in the world, is of inestimable value not only from a historical point of view, but also for the tourist reputation of the entire Lake Geneva region. It was classified as a historic monument of national importance on 17 June 2011.
