Hiking in Geneva
The Versoix woods

Versoix woods
The Versoix woods, crossed by the river to which they owe their name, constitute, with the cultivated areas and the natural reserves that surround them, a microcosm of Geneva’s countryside.

The flat topography of the site, with the exception of the valley carved out by the river, makes it an attractive area for forestry or farming, but also a privileged location for outdoor activities. The proposed route offers a glimpse of the natural environments found in this magnificent region as well as the multiple uses that result from them.
Duration: between 1h30 and 2h walk, 7.46km, elevation: 70m uphill, 70m downhill.
Departure/arrival: U line, bus stop “Sauverny-Douane”.
Make sure to come properly equipped: walking shoes (muddy sections in case of wet weather), mosquito repellent, something to drink. Please respect the signs on site.
