Leave the lakeside behind and head uphill into the historic centre.
In the heart of the Old Town, discover St. Peter’s Cathedral before continuing through the historic streets towards Place du Bourg-de-Four.
With two days in Geneva, take your time to enjoy the neighbourhood instead of rushing from one monument to the next.
Afternoon: Parc des Bastions and Geneva’s cultural side
After lunch, make your way towards Parc des Bastions.

Continue towards the Botanic Garden and lakeside
From Portail des Nations, continue towards Geneva’s Botanic Garden and the lake.
This creates a natural transition from International Geneva to one of the city’s major green spaces and provides a quieter break before the rest of your programme.

Afternoon: choose your Geneva experience
Option 1: discover CERN
Science enthusiasts can spend part of the afternoon at CERN Science Gateway.
Its exhibitions introduce visitors to particle physics, the Universe and the research carried out at CERN through interactive installations and scientific objects.
CERN is located outside the historic centre, so allow enough time for the journey and check the current visiting and booking conditions before you go.
