The atmosphere is relaxed, children are welcome and food, cocktails and drinks are available from two restaurant/bars on site. The menus consist of typical beach fare such as burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and nachos.

Bateau Genève
Bateau Genève

A very unusual little bar moored in the middle of the River Rhône – Bateau Lavoir was built to resemble a 19th century ‘washing boat’, where local women used to go to scrub their washing in the river. Their rooftop terrace is a great place to go for a drink, lunch or apéro.

This is a special venue, which combines an urban setting with the peacefulness of being on a river as you listen to the water lapping the sides of the boat.
On a cold winter’s day enjoy a fondue in the cosy inside space in front of the wood-burning stove.
Food options include three different daily dishes (vegetarian, meat and fish) and a few snack options. Wine, champagne, water and soft drinks are available.

Prices are very reasonable for Geneva.
Check out special music events on their Facebook page.
