This café-restaurant is part of the Bains des Pâquis – a great place to hang out in the summer for a spot of people watching and a quick dip in the lake to cool off.
This popular local and tourist hangout is great for a family day out and a relaxed, healthy lunch, an apéro or evening meal. The setting is spectacular with stunning lake and mountain views and allows you to get up close and personal with the lake. You can hang out on the little beach, take a dip and even enjoy your meal on the beach.
The café offers some of the best-priced meals and drinks in the city. Open very early for breakfast, it’s also a great place to watch the sun rise with a coffee and croissant.
Their delicious lunchtime plat du jour (with a vegetarian option available) is always fresh and well presented. Great salads, meat and cheese platters, cakes and ice-creams are always on offer too.
Bain des Pâquis also offers some of the city’s best fondues – including a champagne-based fondue. Be sure to order your fondue beforehand.
The crowd is very mixed, including locals, tourists and people from all walks of life and ages. The atmosphere is seriously chilled. Don’t dress up.
Check their website for their music and cultural events, including their popular sunrise concerts in August.
