Tourist Information Centre

Welcome! Our team of experts is on hand to give you personalised advice so you can get the most out of your stay. 

Visit us by the lake at the Tourist information Centre, Quai du Mont-Blanc 2

Open every day from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays (closed on December 25th and January 1st)
Monday to Saturday from 09.15 to 17.45 except Thursday from 10:00 to 17:45 and Sunday from 10.00 to 16.00
Public holidays from 10.00 to 16.00

During the summer season, you can also find us at the Tourist Pavilion in the Jardin Anglais!

The teams of the Tourism Pavilion, located all summer long in the Jardin Anglais, will have the pleasure of advising you on the best places to visit in Geneva and helping you discover local products. They will also give you the best itineraries to discover Geneva’s lush countryside and help you to book your City Pass, your Choco Pass or any of excursion or guided visit you may like.

Thursday: 10.00am - 5.45pm
Sundays & public holidays: 10.00am - 4.00pm

From July 1st to August 31th, you will also find our mobile teams, the Tourist Angels, in all the city's major tourist attractions.

You will recognise them by their polo shirts and caps, they are there to welcome and assist you. You can also meet our mobile guides in the Old Town from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4pm, in front of St Peter's Cathedral.

How to get around?

Parking options

With the multipark.ch application app, buy a multi-zone all-public badge that allows you to park in all the macaroon areas of the Canton, for the day or half-day.

On free places in the badge zone: 1 hour maximum, with a blue disc (mandatory). Blue discs are available from the Fondation des Parking.

On spaces with individual or shared parking meters 

Paying car parks, including numerous "Park and Ride" facilities throughout the canton: www.geneve-parking.ch

On paid white places, via time stamps or via your smarthphone with the apps PayByPhone, Parknow, Easypark, PrestoPark and Parkingpay.

In one of the many public or "Park and Ride" car parks spread throughout the canton.

Tip: Many "Park and Ride" are available without subscription or conditions, for CHF 14.00/day (parking + public transport All Geneva) for 2 people.

Free public transport

Public transport? It's free for you in Geneva with the digital Transport Card!

When you stay in an accommodation in Geneva, you receive your digital "Geneva Transport Card" free of charge. Thanks to this digital card, public transport in Geneva is free for the full duration of your stay.

This personal and non-transferable card allows you to use the Geneva public transport network (UNIRESO: bus (TPG), train (CFF) and boat (Mouettes genevoises) without limits for the entire duration of your stay. You will receive a link by email three days before your arrival to obtain your Geneva Transport Card on your smartphone. You will then be able to use it to reach your accommodation from the airport.

In Geneva, don't miss the boat!

You can’t possibly stay in Geneva without crossing Europe’s largest lake! In Geneva, you can get from one side to the other by water bus, you can go on a cruise to discover hidden gems scattered on the shores and, in the summer, you can become a captain on the rental boat of your dreams.

The Mouettes

The Mouettes Genevoises (Geneva Gulls) are those little yellow water buses that are perfect for crossing from one shore to the other in a few minutes. With the Geneva Transport Card, you can board the boat for free. Departure every ten minutes:

  • M1 line: Pâquis-Molard

  • M2 line: Pâquis-Quai Gustave Ador

Departure every 30 minutes:

  • M3 line: Pâquis-Genève-Plage

  • M4 line: Genève-Plage-De-Châteaubriand
