Opening the show is The Dr. Watson Band, a quartet that puts a fresh spin on blues and rock classics. The Lawdy Mamas: four musicians take us on a journey through Southern blues and American rock.

Dennis Watson, the Dr. Watson Band has performed several hundred concerts since then. In 2004, they released an album, “Welcome to the World,” featuring 13 original songs. Originally formed to perform his own compositions, the band’s repertoire has expanded over the years to include rock, blues, and country classics.
For this special blues night at the BAG, the focus will be on the blues, featuring songs by Freddie King, Muddy Waters, the Allman Brothers Band, Jimi Hendrix, and others, and, of course, a few original songs.

Formed in 2016 in Geneva, The Lawdy Mamas brings together four female musicians from various local bands who share a common passion: the powerful, timeless rock of Steppenwolf.
The band reimagines the sound of this legendary 1970s band, best known for its iconic hit “Born to Be Wild.”
After exploring the many facets of this free-spirited, wild rock, The Lawdy Mamas are expanding their repertoire with covers that take us on a journey through the world of Southern blues and American rock, reinterpreting songs by artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Larkin Poe.
