A leading figure in French-language pop music, Lio will be performing at the Alhambra in Geneva on 25 February 2027. This will be an opportunity for the artist to present ‘Geoid Party in the Sky’, a new album conceived as a tribute to the encounters that have shaped her life and career.

Having first come to prominence with her hit single “Banana Split”, Lio is now one of the greatest icons of French-language pop. The release of “Banana Split” in 1979 paved the way for a string of hits such as “Amoureux Solitaires”, “Amicalement Vôtre” and “Week-end à Rome”, a duet with Étienne Daho.

Lio is making her big comeback with her 12th studio album: ‘Geoid Party in the Sky’. An album born out of a desire to return to her first loves and to pay tribute to the wonderful people she has met along the way. It also celebrates the wonderful encounters she has had throughout her career – and it is these, above all, that enrich her new project. Lio has therefore called upon some of the biggest names in the new generation of pop: Louane, Hoshi, Corine, Isia Marie, Betta Lemme, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Marie Darrieussecq and Sofia Portanet have all agreed to write for the Belgian-Portuguese icon. Each song is, above all, centred on an encounter or a shared experience, and explores themes common to all women, across all generations.
