Guided visit

Rousseau, whistleblower

Each month, the MRL offers free guided tours of the Rousseau Trail, located at the heart of the Maison Rousseau et Littérature, on the very site of the writer’s birthplace.

Rousseau says "My name is Jean-Jacques".

This audiovisual journey immerses visitors in the life and work of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, born out of the conviction that Rousseau’s work (1712-1778) still has the power to provoke us today, like few others.
Rousseau, who claimed to prefer being a man of paradoxes rather than a man of prejudices, is not treated here as a static monument of the past. Through 7 thematic niches, the Trail confronts the philosopher’s paradoxes, inviting us to question our present, which he seemed to anticipate.
