The story of an alternative theatre play that became a cult film! Through songs, archival footage, funny and touching testimonials, anecdotes, and moments of madness…
In the both uptight and punk England of the early 1970s, Richard O’Brien—the director’s father—emerged as a multi-talented actor and writer with an irresistible personality and a closeted gay man. He guides the documentary through the creative journey of the various versions of *The Rocky Horror*, a paragon of transgression and the freedom to be fully oneself.
An intelligent, profound, and joyful film that does the soul so much good and absolutely makes you want to share the experience in movie theaters…
