The young Lithuanian conductor Izabelė Jankauskaitė takes us north for the 2026 autumn tour, with Edvard Grieg’s Norwegian Dances and Jean Sibelius’s magnificent Fifth Symphony. We then venture even further north with Einojuhani Rautavaara (1928–2016), who combines recordings of real birdsong with the sounds of the orchestra, creating soundscapes as captivatingly beautiful as the Northern Lights.
