Performance from March 2 to 6 at the Comédie de Genève. Marc Oosterhoff and Owen Winship create a show before our eyes, combining acrobatics, light and sound.

After Préparation pour un miracle in 2023, Marc Oosterhoff returns to Comédie de Genève, this time accompanied by Owen Winship, with a new creation that once again works directly with the constraints of theatrical space in order to make the unexpected emerge.
On an almost bare stage, inhabited only by a handful of objects, lighting fixtures and a speaker, two performers construct before our eyes—without concealing any part of the process—the material of a performance, a form of wonder built from small feats and paradoxical illusions entirely created in full view of the audience.
Through their acrobatic technique, subtle manipulations of sound and light performed live on stage, and fragments of text in English and French written by the artists themselves, Winship and Oosterhoff unfold the fragile poetry inherent in the very act of making, creating and cobbling together a performance. To create from almost nothing—except the most ordinary and minuscule things—such is the wager of The Smallest Things, a piece that plays and composes with our emotional response as spectators, and our willingness to surrender to illusion even when all its mechanisms are laid bare before us.
