A concert for all audiences featuring works by Johannes Brahms for piano and brass quintet.

When thinking of great composers, names like Mozart or Beethoven often come to mind, but there is also Johannes Brahms—a reserved man whose music is profound and deeply emotional.
This concert offers a chance to explore his musical world by tracing the composer's life. It highlights Brahms’s connection to the human voice, poetry, and traditional German songs. In this program, the vocal parts are replaced by brass instruments; while Brahms often used brass to convey great depth, here they take the place of the choir with both gentleness and solemnity.
Program: Ballades (Op. 10), Rhapsodies (Op. 79), and Vocal Quartets (Op. 64, 92 & 112)
Alliance Brass Quintet: 2 trumpets, trombone, horn, and tuba
Piano: Christophe Sturzenegger
