A centre at the cutting edge of the avant-garde movement.
Founded in 1974, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is a place for exhibition, reflection, and dialogue around contemporary art. A pioneering institution on the Swiss and international scene, it explores the major issues of our time. Over the past fifty years, the Centre has contributed to the discovery of Swiss and international emerging talents, as well as the rediscovery of established figures.
During the renovation of its exhibition spaces (2025–2029), the Centre will take up residence at L’Arcade, located in the heart of Geneva on the ground floor of the Mont-Blanc Centre, just steps from the train station and the iconic Plaza cinema. Open to the city, this venue will host exhibitions in innovative formats and a storefront dedicated to contemporary creation. In parallel, the Centre will continue to develop a rich off-site and online programme in dialogue with Swiss and international institutions.
