Travel back through time and discover what the SaSA has revealed about various aspects of Geneva’s past.

After more than a decade of research, conservation and development, SaSA opens its doors to the public on 5 September 2026! This new institution unveils one of the most remarkable archaeological sites discovered in Geneva. Roman remains, a medieval necropolis and Early Modern fortifications are presented in a space designed to welcome both specialists and the wider public. Conceived as a living institution, SaSA invites visitors to reflect on the present through archaeology, and creates new connections between heritage, research and contemporary creation.
