The Geneva Book Fair celebrates its 40th anniversary!

A key event on the French-speaking Swiss literary scene, the Geneva Book Fair celebrates its 40th edition this year.

From 18 to 22 March 2026, Palexpo will bring together authors, publishers, booksellers and lovers of words for a packed programme of meetings, debates, book signings, events and exhibitions as part of a colourful anniversary edition.

To celebrate this historic milestone, the event will welcome a quartet of exceptional guests of honour:

• journalist and cultural ambassador Laure Adler,
• press cartoonist Patrick Chappatte,
• poet Hélène Dorion,
• and novelist Douglas Kennedy.

Alongside them, hundreds of authors will bring the stages from the fair and its partners to life through inspiring discussions and moments of sharing, while exhibitors will offer literary discoveries and special moments at their booths.

This free event, open to all, celebrates reading and the French language in all its forms, with surprises on every page!
