PAGANO / ARAM / BALADA
This trio revisits original compositions and pieces by iconic composers such as Tom Harrell and John Scofield. “The drum-less formula allows us to create an acoustic space where improvisation and interaction between the musicians take on their full dimension.” A contemporary jazz where musical dialogues weave freely, alternating moments of intensity and finesse.

ALKEBULAN
Alkebulan's warm breath descends on the city. As it passes, we hear stories, melodies and rhythms from far away. We feel, we remember. In the beginning, we are all Africans.
Alkebulan is an ensemble of blowers consisting of a tuba and three saxophones, brought together around Manu Gesseney, who composes and arranges the repertoire.

Aina Rakotobe, baritone saxophone

KLOPFENSTEIN QUARTET
Pablo and Mattias Klopfenstein's quartet offers dense, rich modal music inspired by Coltrane and McCoy Tyner. Around the pentatonics, the two musicians explore powerful dynamics and developed improvisations. Their repertoire also includes compositions by Benoît Gautier and other artists.

COULEURS CHIMÉRIQUES
An excellent exploratory duo, combining a “simple” snare drum and various objects with an electronic set-up. The music of French improvisers Pierce Warnecke and Rodolphe Loubatière achieves a depth, richness and, at times, abrasiveness of play that is spellbinding, even astonishing given the minimal instrumental set-up used. A fascinating and bubbling/quivering, even nervous exploration of extreme dynamics, with a captivating juxtaposition of opposites... (Sixto - Cave 12)
Pierce Warnecke, electronics
Rodolphe Loubatière, snare drum
10:45pm - Main stage
