Let’s take a leaf, then move a little closer. We’ll be able to make out its surface, perhaps some tiny hairs or a minuscule insect. But if we get even closer, what do we see? In this workshop, we’ll learn how to use scientific instruments to observe plants up close, at a very close-up view, and even at an immense scale.

This workshop is part of the Geneva Botanic Garden’s Ateliers verts series.On Wednesday afternoons, children are invited to share our passion for the world of plants and fungi in a fun and educational way. Themed investigations, sensory discoveries, botanical explorations, and many other activities are included in the programme. The Botanic Garden’s living collections provide the setting for these workshops. They are carried out by our curators, gardeners and scientists, in collaboration with volunteers from Uni3, Geneva's University for Seniors.
