A Room of One’s Own – Feminist Cabaret
A Room of One’s Own – Feminist Cabaret. Tuesday, June 3 at 8 PM at La Jonquille
“A Room of One’s Own” is an improvisational cabaret where each scene draws from feminine and queer pop culture. The stories are inspired by iconic works and figures — both real and fictional — to create an evening that is by turns funny, tender, and sharp.
La Nuée, an activist troupe founded in 2023 and composed entirely of women and gender minorities, gives center stage to artists who still lack visibility in the performing arts. Their motto: celebrate so-called "feminine" pop culture with a volcanic cloud of ideas, laughter, resistance, and gentleness.
With: Marie Bouvier, Judith Marchal, Alix Ribordy, Lou Schweizer, and Clémentine Stoudman.
In French.
