Lilia, an engineer living in Paris, returns to Sousse for her uncle’s funeral, accompanied by her partner, whom her family knows nothing about. Determined to unravel the mystery behind her uncle’s sudden death, she finds herself confronted with secrets within a close-knit family. There, three generations of women coexist amid unspoken truths and traditions, reflecting an entire country shaped by complex dynamics.
A story of intimate emancipation, told with finesse. With understated restraint, the film embraces ambivalence, eloquent silences, and intense gazes to reveal women’s journeys caught between heritage and desire, with absolute sensuality.
