Introductory workshop to fusion dances, Azonto and Amapiano, at the heart of the Afrosonica-Paysages sonores exhibition.
Among the many styles of African urban dance, this workshop features a fusion of two of today's most emblematic styles from the African continent: Amapiano (South Africa) and Azonto (Ghana).
This fusion class offers an introduction to both styles, which have already fully spread in their respective countries, where each interprets the other's style with his or her own gesture and musicality. From the fluid, grounded groove of Amapiano to the infectious energy and creativity of Azonto, you'll explore the unique roots, rhythms and gestures of these styles, while putting your own personal spin on them.
Performer : Loubna, a dancer who combines passion and roots, exploring Afro-urban dances and freestyle. She transmits a dance inhabited by exchange and spirituality. A journalist by training, she also questions the cultural and social meaning of our movements.
Please come dressed for a dance class, and let yourself be carried away by the sounds and energy of dance.
