IVAN LARSON aka AKIBA
Ivan Larson aka AKIBA of the Ubuntulive Collective is a multidisciplinary artist.
Trained as a dancer, he has been working in the artistic world for over 10 years. Renowned for his talent as a dancer and choreographer, he has been taking classes for years at the Lar&Lev dance school he co-founded with Daniel Léveillé.
Ivan reached a point in his life when he was looking for an outlet other than dance, and decided to follow in the footsteps of his brother Stay'VInfluenced by the likes of Kaytranada, Boddhisatva and Ka(ra)mi, among others, he perfects his mixes with ancestral soul, Afro and hip hop sounds, conveying to audiences emotions other than those usually heard in clubs. He has been described as being sensitive and having a different view of the public.
True to form, he often leaves his decks to mingle with the crowd and dance on the dancefloor.
He has already demonstrated his talent as a dj-dancer with Ubuntu Live, performing at the Montreuxjazzfestival 2019, Nublu nyc in New York and the Festiva in Aurillac.
Now he's looking forward to getting the whole world moving with his collective.
