Born in the 1990s, Davide Brancato and Noémie Griess embrace the visual, baroque, and queer legacy of Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. A leading figure of La Movida, he pioneered a new form of theatricality in cinema and dared to portray bodies in all their diversity. Inspired by the transgressive work of this great master, “ALMO BB” takes the form of a colorful dramatic cabaret. A series of skits unfolds, oscillating between comedy and melodrama, with a true blurring of the lines between stage and audience.
