Antigone is an ancient Greek tragedy by Sophocles. 2,000 years old, Antigone still defies the established order by burying her brother: an act of rebellion against political authority but allegiance to the gods... Françoise Boillat plays Antigone, performing in front of seven "remarkable trees" once a month. The myth takes on a particular resonance: the trees become silent witnesses to human struggles between law, nature, and freedom.
These centuries-old trees offer a powerful echo to the courage of a woman who dares to question justice, submission, insubordination, and the weight of our heritage.
